Your Guide on the Journey to Balance and Wellness

My own journey to health and wellness has been a remarkable one. In the past, I was intensely focused on fitness and the numbers that came with it. Food was merely fuel, and exercise was the center of my world outside of work. I transformed from being overweight to becoming the first female to cross the finish line in a grueling obstacle course race with over 6000 participants—all within just two years.

However, my unwavering focus on a single goal took me to the extreme. It was a journey of incredible achievements but came with a cost. A few years later, I faced a severe heart infection that forced me to put my workouts on hold for an entire year. During that time, I took a different path, regaining much of the weight I had lost and struggling to reintegrate fitness into my life.

Now, I'm back on the path, but with a renewed perspective. I've learned the importance of balance and the appreciation of food and its flavors. I've even embarked on a culinary program at George Brown College, where I've delved into crafting flavorful recipes that align with my nutrition philosophy. My focus has shifted towards holistic wellness, prioritizing whole foods over supplements, and meal planning has become my passion—a means to explore new recipes and find creative ways to make them healthier.

I'm here to share not just my knowledge and expertise but also my personal journey, the highs, and the lows, and the pursuit of balance and wellness. Join me on this path to a healthier, more fulfilling lifestyle where fitness, food, and flavor come together to create a harmonious approach to wellness.
